The game is too hard. Now what?

WUCHANG: Fallen Feather is a souls-like game, a genre that is known for its difficulty! Still, there are a number of things you can try to make your game easier.

  • You can farm enemies: Kill all the enemies you can, get their rewards, enter the Dream, and respawn enemies. You can rinse and repeat to get the materials needed for your upgrades.
  • Increase your weapon mastery in the Impetus Repository: This will boost your weapon damage.
  • Choose your armor according to your enemy: Prefer armor that has mitigation against the kind of attacks your enemy uses. This will help reduce the damage taken.
  • Choose your weapon according to your enemy: Just like armor, some weapons will deal greater damage to certain enemies. Try different status effects and weapons to see what feels the best for you.
  • Learn your enemy's pattern: Learning your enemy's attack pattern and when they are open to being hit will help you dodge and combine your attacks more easily. If you think you need the training, try a run where you only dodge and do not attack.
  • Utilize your equipment: Equipping the right pendants and using Tempering can also help. Be sure to equip Tempering Acupoint Needles at Shrines, then activate them using the Temperance item in combat.
  • Don't forget the whistle: In some fights, you can use a Bone Whistle item to call in help.
  • Sell unnecessary items: Selling items you don’t need will earn you currencies to level and get stronger.
  • Explore the world more: There might be more things to be discovered that will help you along in your journey!
  • The game encourages you to adapt your playstyle frequently, as reallocating your Red Mercury Essences can be done at any time and free of charge.
  • We do not have official content on this, but please feel free to review content online and observe how enemies fight! Most actions have a response to negating the damage.

P.S. If you are a new player, we recommend you give a try to an Axe-Base build! Its resilience allows for a more forgiving playstyle.
