How do I fortify my buildings in Battle Islands?

Fortifying buildings makes them stronger and slows down enemy ground troops as they target your buildings.  

To fortify, select a building on your island, a menu will appear at the bottom of the screen. Simply click on the button labeled "Fortify" (the wall icon).
