Due to the almost infinite number of hardware and software configurations and combinations out there, crashes may occur with Portal Knights, even on new PCs. When one does occur, and you have done everything you can to diagnose it (updating all drivers, removing unnecessary background programs, etc.), a message popup will appear that asks you if a crash-dump should be created. If you want to help the developers investigating the crash, please click "Yes" and do the following:
- In Steam, right-click on Portal Knights in your Games Library
- Select Properties
- In the tab Local Files of the opened window, select Browse Local Files...
- The opened window contains zip files that start with "portal_knights-", followed by a long string of numbers
- Pick the file that fits the time of the crash, and send this as an attachment to us, as well as a detailed description of what happened (and what was happening before the crash) to us here.
