The most common reason for why your game may not be working is due to an incompatible video card. How to Survive 2 requires a DirectX 11 compatible card, so if you are not sure, please check with your video card or chipset manufacturer (such as NVIDIA or AMD) to see if yours supports DirectX 11.
It is important to note that even if your operating system supports a higher version of DirectX, your video card may not.
Your version of Windows must also be 64-bit. How to Survive 2 will not run on 32-bit operating systems. You can view your operating system type by opening Control Panel > System and Security > System, and looking at your System type, which will display something similar to "64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor".
