Immortals

Modified on Mon, 3 Feb at 12:52 PM

Immortals are a new type of Troop that are more powerful than other high-level troops in Gems of War.

Immortals can be viewed in the Collections Menu like all other troops but they can also be viewed in their own Immortals Menu which is located in the PvP World Map (on the left).

New Immortals will be introduced each PvP Season!

Immortal Souls

Immortals use a resource called Immortal Souls to upgrade. Each Immortal Troop has its own unique type of Immortal Soul. These can be spent to upgrade the matching Immortal, levelling them.

Immortal Souls are earned in-game from three places, opening Burning Chests, rewards from Season Passes, and rewards from Season Goals.

Upgrading Immortals, Weapons & Pets

An Immortal is unlocked and added to a player’s collection once they receive 10 or more Immortal Souls for an unowned Immortal.

Collecting more Immortal Souls allows the player to upgrade an Immortal, unlocking Traits, Stat Boosts and Mana Cost Reductions to an Immortal spell.

As you progressively upgrade an Immortal a player will also unlock a Weapon and Pet specifically tied to that Immortal. These Weapons and Pets don’t upgrade the same way as other Weapons and Pets do, they are upgraded when your Immortal reaches certain levels.

Immortals can be upgraded to level 30, which is higher than any other troop in-game and when an Immortal reaches that level, their Traits become “Awakened”. This makes the traits more powerful.

Each Immortal will belong to a PvP Region and will reside in a Kingdom that is related to that Region. This is important to know as Immortals ignore the regional restrictions active in their region. Also, an Immortal’s Spell has an extra effect if used in their Region. This applies to an Immortal’s Weapon too - it has an extra effect if the Immortal is in the team.

Only one Immortal Troop can be used at a time in a team, because Immortals are very powerful.

Once an Immortal has been fully upgraded to level 30, receiving any excess Immortal Souls for that Immortal will automatically convert them to Burning Marks. Five excess Immortal Souls give 1 Burning Mark.
