Monoliths are a PvE, or Player versus Environment mode for PvP. Each Monolith consists of five battles that require energy to be played. Completing a battle will grant a player a buff that will apply to PvP in all regions.
Each PvP region has a number of Monoliths. That number is based on which ring the region resides in.
- The Central Ring has 3 Monoliths
- The Inner Ring Regions have 4 Monoliths each
- The Outer Ring Regions have 5 Monoliths each
Region restrictions apply to the Monolith Battles. Each Monolith has 5 battles that can be played, with each one increasing in difficulty. The battles progress in the following manner:
- Battle 1 has Level 20 Enemies
- Battle 2 has Level 40 Enemies
- Battle 3 has Level 80 Enemies
- Battle 4 has Level 150 Enemies
- Battle 5 has Level 300 Enemies
Once a Monolith's first battle has been defeated, the buff it provides is unlocked; it becomes active, lasting for 1 hour. Each battle after the first extends the active buff duration by a further hour and also improves the buff, making it more powerful. When a buff's timer runs out, the Monolith's battles reset back to the first one.
After defeating battles 3 and 5 of any Monolith, players are given an extra reward - the Victory Talisman. This works just like any other Talisman in PvP and when used it doubles the amount of VP earned from a regular battle and gives a x3 bonus when used in a Blood Frenzy battle.
Each Monolith requires Monolith Energy to participate in its battles. This Monolith Energy can be gained by spending Gold Marks to purchase Monolith Energy packs in the PvP shop, or by encountering a Valhawk Battlecrasher in regular PvP, which gives 2 Monolith Energy as a reward for defeating it. Valhawks can be encountered 3 times per day and this encounter number resets at daily reset. The number of Valhawks encountered can be viewed in the Monolith Buffs screen. Monolith Energy does not reset, and can be stored for later use.
Note: If you have 10 Monolith Sigils, Valhawks won’t appear in your battles until you have less than 10 Monolith Sigils
