Completed quests also reward you with both. Mining, chopping trees, fishing, and claiming processed items reward you with xp. On the bottom right of your screen is an icon for FERNAND-ORDERS that can be fulfilled for gold. Place the item/s needed in your backpack then press send when you have everything. FERNAND-ORDERS grant both gold (coin) and xp (star).
